Hello, I’m Dr. James Segulyev, DDS and I am delighted for the opportunity to become your dentist. I became a Dentist in 2001 because I believe I have been called to help people transform their current dental health status by purposefully moving forward towards health, wellness, vitality and longevity. I am passionate about helping people live a better life and have a more fulfilling future through optimal dental health.

I practice Holistic & Biologic, Health-Centered, Minimally-Invasive Dentistry, General Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry, Invisalign, Root Canals, Family Dentistry, Periodontal Care, Sleep Apnea for adults and children, Dental Implants, Senior Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, TMJ/TMD Treatment, including offering Regenerative PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) Therapy for TMJ Jaw Pain & Relief, BioRejuvenation Dentistry, and Minimally Invasive Biomimetic Dentistry which is an excellent biologic alternative to conventional crowns, Dental Ozone Therapy, and coming soon in late fall 2026 my team and I will officially be awarded SMART (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) Certified. We have completed all the required training for SMART Certification; Award & Certification to take place at the Annual IAOMT meeting in fall 2026. This certification from the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) represents our deep commitment to safe, mercury-free, biologic dentistry.

I’m a life-long learner and I have always been driven. I encourage my patients to learn more about their treatment options, and I believe they expect me to do the same. I make it a priority to invest and attain advanced training and continuing education in my profession. I have received specialized training and education in the PRF protocol. I took steps to complete the training for PRF Treatment because I wanted to be of maximum service to my patients. My goal is to help patients suffering from chronic, debilitating jaw pain obtain lasting relief without having to resort to painful, financially draining procedures. In addition to receiving specialized training for PRF, I have completed the curriculum of study at The Spear Institute for Advanced Dental Education and am also a graduate of The Stewart Center for Minimally-Invasive Dental Medicine. I am a Certified Provider of Invisalign. I am also Trained & Certified in providing Dental Ozone Therapy, and an active member of The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT). I have earned the designation of Diplomate with the American Sleep and Breathing Academy (ASBA).

My approach is Holistic & Biologic and Health-Centered, taking the whole person into consideration, and my practice is patient-focused, where ample time is taken to develop a relationship with the purpose of understanding and pursuing the patient’s dental health goals.

As a result of this inclusive approach, my patients can enjoy the benefits of improved oral health, general health, healing, wellness, and longevity.

My dental practice is an extension of my life and closely mirrors who I am. I live by a strong set of core values that I integrate into my work on a daily basis. They define who I am as a person and a Dentist. I operate my practice with integrity, dedication, and excellence. When working with my patients, I strive to be thoughtful, respectful, sincere, and generous with my time. I value respect, gratitude, loyalty and trust.

I believe in providing my patients with customized and individualized dental care based on dental wellness and longevity. I’m an advocate of teaching people how to master their own dental health and wellness for themselves, as opposed to just treating symptoms and problems, thus giving real control to patients, where it belongs.

Professional Background & Associations

I was raised in Washington and Oregon and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Oregon in Eugene, after attending The University of Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. While studying in California, I humbly received awards for excellence in Fixed Prosthodontics (dental crowns & bridges) and was the class recipient of the prestigious San Francisco Dental Society Award for Ethics and Professionalism.

Continuing Education

I have developed a special interest in helping patients who suffer from bite problems, facial pain, headache pain, and TMJ disorders.

I completed the curriculum of study at The Spear Institute for Advanced Dental Education, generally regarded as one of the premiere post-graduate comprehensive dental training experiences in the world. I am also a graduate of The Stewart Center for Minimally-Invasive Dental Medicine, formerly The Texas Center for Occlusal Studies and Minimally Invasive Dentistry.

My Family

My wife Dr. Caroline Chan Segulyev, DDS and I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors with our three children. My hobbies include reading, fishing, hiking, whitewater rafting, and biking. We love to volunteer at church and within the local community and look forward to many wonderful years as part of the Dallas community.
