Hello friends, I’m Dr. James Segulyev, DDS, your Holistic & Biologic Dentist in North Dallas! 👋 Since 2001, I’ve dedicated my career to helping patients restore balance, comfort, and confidence through minimally invasive, biologically compatible care.

Over the past year, one of the most exciting advancements in our practice has been Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) Therapy, a natural, regenerative treatment that’s delivering real relief for patients suffering from TMJ pain and dysfunction. 🙌

If you’re struggling with jaw soreness, headaches, clicking, or difficulty chewing, PRF uses your body’s own healing power 🩸 to reduce inflammation, rebuild tissue, and promote long-term joint health. It’s completely natural, non-surgical, and supports your body’s own ability to heal. 🌱

I have received specialized training and education in the PRF protocol. I took steps to complete the training for PRF Treatment because I wanted to be of maximum service to my patients. My goal is to help patients suffering from chronic, debilitating jaw pain obtain lasting relief without having to resort to painful, financially draining procedures. In addition to receiving specialized training for PRF, I have completed the curriculum of study at The Spear Institute for Advanced Dental Education and am also a graduate of The Stewart Center for Minimally-Invasive Dental Medicine.

I’m passionate about bringing the latest regenerative techniques, like PRF, to my patients in a safe, holistic way.

PRF Treatment Process: What to Expect

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) Therapy is an all-natural, minimally invasive treatment that does not require surgery. The process is relatively comfortable for patients and is completed in a few simple steps which include:

Initial Consultation: First, I will conduct a detailed evaluation of your oral health, paying particular attention to the condition of your jaw joints and chewing system. Then, we will discuss your symptoms and treatment history. This consultation helps me determine whether you’re a good candidate for PRF Therapy.

Preparation: Next, I’ll begin preparing for PRF Therapy. I’ll collect a small blood sample, which is obtained in a manner as quick and simple as a standard blood draw.

Centrifugation: Your blood sample is then processed in a centrifuge, which separates the Platelet-Rich Fibrin from the other components of your blood. This process increases the concentration of platelets, growth factors, and white blood cells, which are key agents in your body’s natural healing processes.

Application: With precision and care, the extracted PRF is injected directly into the affected area of the TMJ. This targeted approach allows the potent healing elements within the PRF to directly interact with the damaged tissues, reducing inflammation and pain while stimulating tissue regeneration.

Post-Treatment Care: My team and I will give you detailed aftercare instructions, so you know how to care for your TMJs post-treatment. At a later date, you will return to my office for a follow-up appointment so I can monitor your healing and progress.
